In 2005, our "Carpenter Block mini" product was housed in the permanent toy collection upon the reopening of Les Arts Décoratifs located in the Louvre in Paris, France. Les Arts Décoratifs, the most important museum of decorative arts in France, started with works of art donated by collectors in an effort to emphasize the relationship between the art world and culture, creativity, and production at the World Exposition of 1882.
Founded in 1905, this museum was reopened in September 2006 following a 10-year hiatus during which interior renovations were completed and works were restored. It displays items that have been used affectionately in everyday life from the Middle Ages to the present. Many designers and creative individuals seek inspiration at this museum.
SOZ products are added to the 12,000 items in the toy gallery collection dating from the 19th century to the present day.
Many SOZ products are used at 107 rue de Rivoli, the museum shop within Les Arts Décoratifs. Because our products have been part of the permanent collection since 2005, SOZ held an event to actively popularize its culture from Osaka to the world through Carpenter Block products.
